First Class (3rd Day)

I am very tired right now (it's 12:26 pm) and I should probably go to sleep now, I just wanted to write like the main ideas of today so that I can finish it tomorrow.

Elie has been to Starbucks like a thousand times already and I haven't been there yet so we said we were going to meet there for breakfast at 9. As always, I woke up a little bit late and I checked to see if there were any messages about that and they weren't so I decided to go to Annenberg instead. I found Angela there so we had breakfast together and then Elie texted us asking if we were going (because apparently the plan was still up and we just didn't go... oops). At the end we met in the yard with Elie and a couple of his friends. Then Stephan arrived (he greeted me as he usually does, a kiss in the cheek followed by a hug) and told me that he was going to get a sim card and then after that we could go to class (The Sociological Eye) together. After a while (and hanging out with Jhon and other people) Stephan came back and we headed to class. The professor is from Portugal and he is very nice. I sat to the right side of Stephan and a girl sat on his left side. She talked a lot and I thought she was one of those people who try to attract attention to themselves as much as posible (which annoys me).
-Getting a Tofu burrito
-Meeting Kelly
-Going to Stephan's room
-Intro to Psychology
-Getting dinner
-Meeting Kelly again
-Police :/

Tuesday:

-Talked to Dean... He is very nice and friendly (talks Spanish)
-Early curfew :p
-Astrobiology with Jhon, Elie and Johansson.
-MEMORY CLASS!!!
-Stephan visited but left early
-Introduction to Philosophy
-Red hair guy from Michaels dorm (similar philosophical views).
-(didn't eat anything until 9 pm since breakfast :p)

2nd Day

Yesterday I went to have breakfast like at 9:30 am and I sat down with Jhon and a couple of his friends (an Italian one). After that I we went to Madhavi's room (Hollis Hall) and played Cards Against Humanity. After that, Madhavi, Nalhee, and a couple of guys went to Stephan's room (he is roommate with Andrew, he came here last year). Jhon did not come because he was taking a placement exam for his math class. We hanged around for a while and then more people arrived. At around 4:00 we went to the Ice-Cream social thing and I met with Michael again! :) We talked a lot and I felt a little bit bad because I drifted away from the group of people I was with, but we were so excited to see each other again. Stephan had to leave right away because his dorm had like a mandatory dinner at 4:30 so I stayed at the Ice-Cream social with Michael for a while (meeting new people and rating guys lol).
We saw Ivan (the attractive Russian from last year) and we kind of wanted to approach him but we didn't at the end. After a while, he walked next to us and he saw me and he seemed very excited :) He said hi to us (with a cheek kiss ;) haha) and we talked a little bit. Apparently he is way younger than I thought he was because he has curfew this year again.
When we got tired of hanging out we went back to my room (Michael and I) and then Jhon texted me so I invited him over.
Then I found out I was supposed to go to a mandatory dinner with my dorm at 6:00 pm so they both had to leave.
After the dinner we went to the Science Center and played like Ice-Breakers to get to know each other. There's a guy in my dorm that looks kind of like Samuel Pardo but, compared to the other guys at Harvard, he is not that cute...
Afterwards we had a meeting with the Dean.
Later on, I met with Elie, Jhon and Eli's roommate (Johannes). All of them are very good looking haha
We hanged out at the yard for a while and then they got pizza and we went back to sitting on the yard. Later, everyone began to arrive and at the end we invited random SSP students that passed by to seat with us.
Sadly, it started raining so everyone just dispersed but I stayed with Elie, Johannes, Madhavi and her roommate and we went to Eli's room.
I took Eli's cap for a while just to mess with him :p
At Eli's room we talked and at the end he played the guitar while Madhavi singed.
We had to leave at 11 because they have curfew.
After that I just went to my room and unpacked.

Harvard... Again

Okay, it's been a year. Wow

I'm at Harvard again (SSP); it started yesterday but, as always, I didn't have time to write here...
I met a lot of people through the Facebook page before arriving here and we met irl yesterday. Michael arrived today (Sunday 22) so I hanged out with them all the time.

We met at the John Harvard statue (Valedie, Elie, Madhavi and Narhee).
Btw...
I met the best looking guy I've ever seen, he is from Paris, France and his name is Elie. It's incredible how some people can be so good looking!!

We sat down in the yard and people started arriving and sitting with us. There was a moment when three guys were passing by and one of them looked at me and approached us because he recognised me from FB. I was so confused because I did not remember his face at all, but he is the guy we are planning to go to Acadia with. Because of that, they sat down with us.
After everyone arrived we went to Chipotle (because they have vegan options :p haha). We were a lot of people so we took up like 3 or 4 tables so at the end it was impossible to talk to everyone. I sat down with Ángela (she's from Spain), Elie, and Jhon. Jhon parent's are from Colombia so he speaks Spanish :)

We had a very nice time and met a lot of people.

There was a gathering planned by college students and we tried to go for a while but the place was to full so we went to the Queen's Head. We met with Stephan (the Acadia guy lol) there but we did;t stay for long because we were all kind of tired. I met my roommate very late and one of her friends went to our room and then we went for a walk around the campus (we went to the Law School).

Stephan is the most attractive guy I've ever met. It's crazy. In a way it is kind of scary because I feel that he reminds me (slightly) of my cousin. He acts similar to how my cousin acts and that's weird because I find him extreeeeemely attractive (Stephan, not my cousin). He talks very low and is kind of losing his voice so it has that sexy carraspeo. I can't even describe how attractive he is... And he seems to be very chill and kind of hipster. I think he has travelled a lot. Ohh, he also speaks Spanish!

Damn it

I'm sooooooo sorry...
I haven't posted anything here for so long. I feel terrible. My excuse is that I don't have time, but I the procrastinator queen so I guess that's not a valid excuse.
I kind of forgot how to do this, haha. I don't have much time right now because I have to take two exams tomorrow at school and I haven't studied yet (once again procrastination...)
Let's get some updates going on:
- Yes, I am still vegan (proudly).
-I am at school now (since August) and I have lots of homework.
-It is physically impossible to miss Harvard any more than I already am.
-Good and bad things have happened since I got back, I guess I'll do a post about these things later on.
-In case anyone is interested, I am taking 3 AP classes this year (my school wouldn't let me take any more). AP Chem, AP Physics and AP English Language and Lit.
-Halloween , my favourite holiday, was last Friday and I dressed up as a biker for school and as pop-art for a party on Saturday. I might do a post about Halloween as well.

That's basically it for now. My life is not very interesting but I'll do my best to do some posts this month.

Bye.

June 19th - 20th

Heyyy

Sooooo, last saturday (June 19th) I didn't do much... I woke up early; around 7 a..m. I ate a banana and a vegetable juice for breakfast and I went for a run. I wanted to go to a gym as well but they were closed, so I just ran for a while and did some flexibility exercises. I returned to my room and took a shower. Then I went to the Widener library and stayed there for almost all day reading for my philosophy class.

June 18th

Hello

Yesterday (June 18th), I didn't had class because it was Friday; therefore I slept until noon. Initially I had planned not to go out in the whole day so I could do my readings. I had cereal in my room, and a thai-vegan rice I bought on Thursday; so I could eat that as breakfast and lunch. When I got up, Esther (my proctor) had send me an e-mail about all the activities that are taking place this weekend. All of them seemed very interesting, but I knew I couldn't go to every one of them. After thinking about what I had to do this weekend, I decided that I could go out to a 'roller skating dance party' at Boston, celebrating the 80's. It started at 6:00 p.m, so I had some time before going.
After taking a shower and getting ready, I remembered that there was a workshop about Stress Management, so I went there. It was very interesting and fun. It made me realise that stressing all the time (as I do) is not only unhealthy but also unproductive. Maybe later on I could write an entry about what I learned at the workshop because it is important to really know what happens when you stress, and what are the consequences of stressing.
After that, I went back to my room and had my thai-vegan rice for lunch. It had 'vegan chicken', and I didn't really expected a lot from it but it tasted really good. I was positively surprised.
When I finished eating, I decided to go to Boston for the 80's 'party', and Paige and Michael decided that they wanted to come as well.
When we got there, we noticed that the line for renting skates was extremely long, so I decided not to rent any. Paige and I danced for a while. We stayed in there for a while, and then decided to walk around. We found an amazing juice bar; I've never seen one before so I was very amused. Even though the juices were pretty expensive, I bought several so that I could keep them in the fridge and take them with me to classes. I also bought a vegan/organic vanilla pudding (or something like that). I can't believe how amazing that place was, and all the healthy things they sell; I wish there was something like that in Medellin...
We continued walking around, and we found a very nice park in honour of cancer sufferers. We stayed in there for a while appreciating the beautiful view. Then we went to the North End, and sat down in the grass and listened to a group of music that was playing around. It was very nice and relaxing.
Finally, we decided to head back to Harvard, so we took the T and came back. Every friday night, Harvard presents 2 movies (every week has a special theme); I do not remember what this week's theme is; but the movies they are showing are The Help and Dallas Buyers Club. I was planning on watching the one that stars at 9:15 p.m, but we decided to check out the karaoke night before (Harvard hosts Karaoke nights every friday). When we got there, it was practically empty, so we were able to sing as much as we wanted. After a while more people started arriving but we were having a nice time so we stayed there and didn't watch the movie.
They show the same movies on Saturday's night so I think I'l go watch them today (Saturday).
That was about my day... It was a fun day (not very productive thought).

July 11th - 13th

I know I've been terrible at this blogging thing and I hate myself because of that; but I didn't realised how difficult it actually is to write an entry every single day. Even considering the fact that I go to bed at 1 am (the earliest), and actually fall asleep a couple of hours later, I do not find the time to write.
Today is July 14th; it is 3:56 p.m and I am at Starbucks. I got out of my writing class at 3 p.m and went to CVS to buy some stuff I needed and then came over to Starbucks because I was feeling quite tired. Even thought I am writing this entry today, I am going to write about the last 3 days. There is no special reason why I chose this days, other than the fact that I can still remember what I did, so I want to write it down before I forget.

Let's begin:

July 11th.

It was a Friday. I had a '1-on-1' meeting with my proctor Esther. She is a Harvard student, and she is in 'charge' of Wigglesworth D. She is a very nice person and I think it is amazing that we have such a close relationship with an actual Harvard student. She is also very humble about it, which makes her even more awesome. I asked her about all her applying process to Harvard and to other universities. She was accepted at Princeton as well! Wow...
After the meeting,  Jason (one of my dorm-mates) told me about a Meson Temple near by and asked me if I wanted to check it out. I, obviously, said yes; so we walked there. It was a very nice place. When we got there, an orchestra was playing on the basement. They were amazingly good; that makes me want to practice an instrument again and master it as good as they did. We stayed in there for a while and then we retuned to Harvard because we had a Study Break.
When we were coming back to Harvard, we found a really cute park with some playground for kids. It was about 8:00 p.m, so there were no kids there. It was really cute and we stayed there for a while, admiring the nature and the sky.
(I will post pictures of this when my phone synchronises with my laptop)

We finally made it back to Harvard, and we went to the Study Break. Esther bought pizza, cake, fruits (yay go vegan), and cupcakes. I got there a little bit late because I went to my room to make sure I didn't look completely disgusting. When I got to Esther's room, Tina, Paige, Mitchell, Ivan, Lane, Michael and Jason were already there. I got a lot of fruit in a plate, and sat down at Esther's bed. We all played 'Never have I ever'. After a while, everyone arrived and after that, people started to leave. Jason, Michael, Georgie and I had planned to go out exploring Cambridge after the Study Break, but I was having a very nice time, so I decided not to go.After most of the people were gone and only Tina, Paige, Lane, Cole, Colton and I were there, one of the boys came up with the idea of watching a movie ( one of the boys bought a TV...), so they brought the TV to Esther's room and we watched Anchorman 2. It was a pretty funny movie, kind of random... but it was fun. While we were watching the movie, Mitchell and Ivan came inside and watched the movie with us.
After the movie, we went back to our rooms. Jason and Michael went to our room as well (what a surprise), and told us about their walk. Michael was really happy because he was almost sure that Georgie was gay... (Michael has the hugest crush on Georgie).
After that, we started talking about cute guys and Paige told me that Mitchell and Ivan were asking about me at the Study Break before I got there. I know this may be the most stupid thing to get happy over, but they are very cute ( specially Ivan), and I am very surprised that they actually know I exist and even know my name! Wow...

July 12th

I cannot really remember what I did in the morning... The first thing I remember was going to Annenberg; I went all by myself because I was planning on doing some of my readings. When I got to Annenberg, Michael and Georgie were there, so I sat with them. We started talking, and they told me that they were going on a walk after eating. Michael said they were planning to go to the Charles River. Georgie invited me to go with them and I wasn't sure at first because I had to do readings and to study for my midterm. Georgie insisted a lot that it would be very nice if I went with them, so I ended up saying yes; but after I said yes, he told me that the walk was going to be very long and maybe I wouldn't like it so I was very confused because I didn't know if they wanted me to go or not.
I'll finish this later... I am getting pretty tired here and I want to go brush my teeth lol.
